Choose Your Own adventure Book: The Journey of The Son of Antioch
This is a fanfiction and choose your adventure book that is based off the story of Trench Crusade and a tale in the perspective of Soldie of the Son of Antioch.
I experimented with narrative design, creating lore, factions, and visual motifs. It taught me how to build cohesive worlds and manage tone across multiple pieces.
I started it as a good friend of mine introduced me to the kick starter of this game and i really got into it as I used to read books about various religions and the stories within them. Trench Crusade does that very well as I find several references to deep lore of different religions. I really wanted to write this for fun as to express my former interest in the neutrality of religion and history.
This project was my exploration into grimdark storytelling, blending medieval imagery with horror and surrealism. I experimented with lore, symbolism, and atmosphere, creating factions, corrupted relics, and supernatural enemies. It was less about performance and more about building a cohesive world, teaching me how to sustain tone and narrative across multiple pieces. I developed skills in narrative design, thematic consistency, and visual worldbuilding. I studied historical crusades and medieval iconography, then reimagined them through a darker lens. This process sharpened my ability to merge research with imagination, producing writing that felt immersive and unsettling.
